A Simple Guide to Unicare Health Insurance Health Plans

Unicare Health Insurance offers a Health Savings Account (HSA) plan that gives policyholders the opportunity to establish a tax-advantaged HSA. The member then contributes to this account and uses the funds to pay for qualified medical services and treatment throughout the year. Any remaining funds at the end of the year automatically roll over for use in the following year.

The Unicare Health Insurance Health Incentive Account Plus offers members the freedom to seek treatment from both network and non-network health care providers. However, medical services always cost less when a participating network provider is used.

Unicare Health Insurance FIT plans give customers a wide variety of plans and deductibles from which to select a policy. These plans offer preventive care coverage along with a prescription drug card. No claim forms are needed when using an in-network provider. Annual deductibles range from $500 to $5000.

The Unicare Health Insurance FIT plan also provides MedCall, a 24-hour phone line that is staffed by Registered Nurses who can answer members’ healthcare questions and concerns. The Health Extensions program offers consumers discounts on healthcare services and related products.

Unicare FIT plans are available in Illinois, Michigan, and Texas.
