Men – The Dirty 30’s

By the time a man reaches his 30s, he has likely become established in the life that will take him through the rest of his days. Old priorities such as partying and hanging out with the guys give way to family and career obligations. Beyond that, a man’s health starts to become more complex and he must face a wide variety of new ailments that weren’t as pressing when he was younger. Things such as exhaustion, stress, depression, body pains, in addition to physical and emotional wear-and-tear become more and more relevant.

Keep stress low for high health
As an aging man, it is important to establish clear and obtainable goals with regard to one’s life. Taking on too much can spread one too thin and create unnecessarily stressful situations that can have acorrosive effect on overall well-being.It is important to remember that when things become overwhelming at work or home, taking a break and stepping away from the situation are extremely important. These “time outs” allow the overworked man to better appraise difficult times and choose the best way to tackle them.

Exercise and eat right
Of course, it’s also vital to maintain a healthy diet and get plenty of exercise. Drinking plenty of water and getting enough revitalizing sleep go a long way towards balancing one out and preparing someone to take on any challenges that come their way. It’s a good idea to keep a vibrant sense of humor and to laugh frequently. This alleviates stress and creates an overall sense of well-being.

Take a personal day
Don’t forget also to treat oneself right every now and then by splurging on a personal day, whether that is a day at a spa or in front of the video game console, if it feels good and alleviate stress then it can do wonders and have long lasting positive benefits.
