A Sampling of Medical Mutual of Ohio Health Plans
Medical Mutual offers consumers a variety of health insurance plans, each with varying deductibles and coverages, but all at an affordable price. The Standard plan is a sound choice for people who want basic, quality coverage but at a reasonable cost. It is a good healthcare benefits solution for those consumers who do not have access to group health insurance coverage.
One option offers a $25 co-payment for routine physical examinations and office visits. Annual deductibles range from $500 to $2,500 with an 80% coinsurance once the deductible amount is satisfied. Without the copayment option, the Standard plan has annual deductibles starting at $2,500 and going as high as $10,000.
Another plan offered by Medical Mutual is the Value plan. This health insurance package carries a lower cost than the Standard plan, but it does not provide benefits coverage for catastrophic medical events, unexpected emergencies, or qualified office visits. The upside to the Value plan is that the customer pays low monthly premiums and the annual deductibles are lower- ranging from $500 to $1500.
Medical Mutual also offers its customers a Health Savings Account (HSA) plan. This plan gives members the opportunity to establish a tax-advantaged health saving account. The funds from this account are used to pay for qualified medical treatment and services throughout the year.
HSAs are always combined with a high deductible medical health insurance plan. The annual deductibles can vary from $2,500 to $5,000. 100% coinsurance is available for office visits, emergency room visits, and preventive care services once the deductible has been met.
